Luxavia (1988)

Another interesting example of an intercontinental flight out of Luxembourg: now, to South Africa on a Boeing 747. Actually, Luxavia was an airline that never existed on its own. Planes were flown by Luxair and the traffic rights belonged to the South African airline Trek Airways. These were the Apartheid years and since the airline was not allowed to fly over most African countries, Trek partnered with Luxair to run the fligths.
